International Meeting 2008 (Brighton)

We are organising to put on the next International Meeting of Filhos de Angola in Brighton, July 16-20, 2008.

This will be a 5 day cultural extavaganza, with workshops in Capoeira Angola, Afro-Brazilian dance and percussion every day, as well as performances every night, amongst ourselves and for the public.

We’re planning street Rodas, live music on the seafront, kids events, a film show, and all sorts of interventions and merry-making.

There&8217;ll be guest teachers, top Capoeiristas showing their skills, and showcases of the rich talent we have in Brighton in the Brazilian music scene. Watch this space!
