Apart from our regular childrens group, we’ve done several community projects, bringing capoeira to after-school clubs, in-school sessions, summer splash projects, theatre workshops, "children’s university", sessions for excluded youth. We ran a course for unemployed people, single mothers and the like, with creche facilities, to facilitate development of confidence, basic life skills, and much more.
Capoeira is such a good way to get people out of their normal way of being, try something new, put a smile on their face, get fit, get with it. It really does generate confidence and positive energy for life.
